The CIRCE Handbook brings together the project’s research findings, educational framework, and practical resources to support schools in addressing accent bias and linguistic discrimination. It offers both theoretical insight and concrete tools for teachers, school leaders, and education professionals who wish to promote linguistic diversity and inclusion in their classrooms.
The Handbook presents the project’s key concepts, the results of its empirical investigations, and a wide range of teaching activities and materials designed to foster awareness, critical thinking, and respectful engagement with accent diversity.
The full version of the Handbook is available here in English.
To further support accessibility and local engagement, selected sections of the Handbook — including the Introduction, “The Local Contexts,” and the Conclusion — are also available in translation (Bosnian, German, Portuguese, and Italian). These translations are intended to facilitate discussion and use in different national and educational contexts.
We invite you to explore the Handbook, adapt its materials, and use it as a starting point for meaningful reflection and action in your school community.
